I was thinking about buying SWG off of e-bay so that I could play this... but the forums don't look very active.

Is the test server any better?

Also, are starships in the game like in JTL?

JTL is not activated yet.

Most people are waiting for a proper release, so none of the servers are very active currently.

Hello and welcome to GR. I'm thinking that why the forum seems dead is because everyone is either busy or waiting on launch.

Plus we are an open forum - you dont have to log in to read like at other places, so there is no incentive to login and post. Activity has it's ups and downs - this time of year has been historically inactive.

Yeah, I do miss everyone. I've actually been wanting to post some ideas, but not much activity.

hi all. I just created an account yesterday and logged into the testing server (talk about a ghost town). Why is testing so dead? Shouldn't people be on the server testing so the bugs can be fixed? If everyone's waiting for launch, and no one is testing, how will anything ever get fixed? I want to help.

We tested for EMU for a while, not really sure if ANH was going to release a public test center, but we just got burnt out "testing" you know. Besides I can't do much right now, shipwrite isn't in yet.

so is there no testing to do at the moment? Is the main focus on EMU or ANH?

Some people from GR are testing on TC: Nova (EMU) and once ANH gets their test center back up I'm hoping to start doing some dedicated testing for them as well. Unless GR's stance has changed they will be going with whoever gets done first and it's too early to tell who that will be. It would be community suicide not to have a working server up when one is available. Whichever teams finishes second would be wise to include the ability to transfer characters over to their server if they want communities to use their version.

So which server should I be logging into? The server options are (that I know of so far):

1.) Official SWGEMU (although I get an error everytime I try to login to this one: "Automatic Registration is disabled... bla bla bla"

2.) SWGANH, which is the one I added and am able to get on successfully. But can't find ANYONE online.

Are there more servers? Should I be getting on the first one? Where do I find people? I did the in-game search on 2 planets and couldn't find anyone.

Any help?

Welcome to Galaxies Reborn.

In order to play on SWGEMU's servers you need to register an account with their forum if you haven't already done so. Their servers and forums are separate from ours although many of our community members play on the SWGEMU servers.

Right now the build we are running on our server has been tested and is now obsolete so you won't see many people on until we get the next build to test. We do have a monthly Meet & Greet for our community members to get to know one another.
