R.I.S Armor always was the shelve armor, it was hard to get the schematics for and never could get high amounts of resists even with really good resources, R.I.S was still there in the CU but the first patch made it impossible to recraft the armor due to people complaining about how crappy it was.

Elemental damage only happened in the CU very heavily, due to weapons having more elemental damages in them as long with "piercing" traits for the heavier weapons. It was also created to tone down Jedi since their crystal was elemental now, which sucked for red user jedi because they had like fire or plasma depending on the shade of red and that was the easiest element to defend against.

And not wearing armor would be a good balance, it provides no protection so you take 100% of damage BUT u get increased chance to dodge, block, parry you have increased accuracy and movement speed ( it'd be just 100% or normal ). So you can last longer or be more mobile and it would be your choice. It also makes grouping without armor doable if you have say a swordie tanking in high resist armor, saves everyone money so they can use their armor on their own time without it being required.

I did like the idea that classes could wear the armor but it'd be reduced because your class is a medium armor prof persay ( weaker ones not BH, Commando, Rifleman, Swordsmen etc. ) and would then scale down when you wore it. But it should only be a 10% drop at the most since the light armor was only given to entertainers artisans and above and beginning medics.

But the idea still lacks individuality that the game really had for everyone, you could wear what armor you wanted sometimes it was composite but who couldn't resist being unbuffed still having that on and only getting hit for like 6?!?! So for the sake of the game i say we keep all armor available to all classes free of resist dropage and then just make coustom armors down the road so there is a more high end variety.
