Once the terrain editor is released, I think we'll be seeing the possibility of many community player made maps coming up for consideration.

I went back and picked up Battlefront 2 for the pc just so I could download all the maps that people have been making for the game. Between the maps, new skins, and additional game modes, the game has twice the content that it originally did. And seeing some of the detailed, exotic environments people have been creating, has really gotten me excited for some the possibilities for swg.

The gigantic planets of space are amazing of course. But once the terrain editor is released, I imagine many small community made planets/city maps will start popping up. Maps that will bring with them the possibility of exploring many more corners of the star wars universe. Whether the community here will go for it is another thing though I suppose.

hey that actuyally would be cool. I liek those obscure EU planets. they are very open to interpretaion allowing creative freedom.

I chose rodia because it would be a new place thats never been talked about in the movies. That makes it easier to add stuff to it without contridicting canon facts. I looked on wookiepedia and they had a good amount of stuff to work from though.

Of the two that are currently leading Geonosis and Hoth, I would lean toward geonosis because geonosis has more stuff. Hoth is a baran wasteland with only a select few creatures. It probally would end up a no building planet due to its coldness. There are no cities(not that i know of any on geonosis)on hoth, only the rebal base. I don't see much potential for hoth. I don't see a ton for geonosis myself either but, I don't know that much about either of the planets.

If I was to select the planet, it would have enough history to build POI's and make a good set of creatures but not be so full of history it is impossible to add your own touches. It would feature at least three terrians, Water(unless its a planet like tatooine that would make no sense to have water), a forest( Or some kind of terrian that would give the same adventurous feeling such as swamp and mountains), and plains. I say plains because I want houses available on new planets and you can't build them in water or forests. I gave three elements because my least favorite planets are ones with only one type of terrian. I like planets with multiple terrians. It adds a better feeling of adventure to the planet.

I'm not sure what content you have in store for Genosis, but I am all for it, just for my desire to explore the beauty of the planet. From what I remember from Episode II it had some great landscaping beauty.

I know Korriban would be a nice hot spot for sith ...er dark jedi related rpers and such, but I'd stick to what your working on now and have some concept ideas up already before moving on to other planets. I see Hoth as more of an instance or battleground for GCW. Not much else have I come up with concerning Hoth. There is a ton of content you can put into any new planet you guys decide to release. We have plenty of Expanded Universe ideas to put missions, themeparks, and crafting related things into these new areas.

As for Corescant (I know I didn't spell that right) I read up on post by Jordy that really wet my appetite and looked like it was possible to do, according to the programmers. Cut out the world in sections as it is too big to be put into one big zone like noted in his post. I'm really for whatever you guys decide, as long as its star warsy. I voted Geonosis.

Wish I could edit this blasted thing than double post,
Anyway, a few minor items were pointed out that I really like to see in the game. Themeparks that connect kessel or say post yavin battles to hoth. Mini planets if possible like Bespin or Kamino, Dungeon or instance for underwater world in Naboo. There are a few ideas that sounded good to me, but I'll leave the post hunting to those programmers since I'm new to this forum and I do not know how to add links to my own post.

Geonosis! There is so much potential for this planet, loot drops and possible quests are infinite. From clone quests to additions for jedi and pvp, Geonosis is best. The Arena!!! are you kidding me who wont want to do a gladiator styled slug fest; or even a quest in the arena where your forced to fight creatures round after round for survival. I cast my vote for Geonosis... you should too.

I like the idea of adding Nar Shadaa. It's not really a planet but a huge chunk of asteroid and it is an underworld and crime ridden area. Maybe make it a smaller planet and many underworld quests to be done for smugglers/ bounty hunters and freelance pilots.

I just want any planets that are added to be sandboxes like the original planets. I didn't like the way SOE added Kashyyek and Mustafar.

I think Nar Shadda is good. Bespin and Coruscant would be the best, but would be to hard 2 make and 2 easy to mess up.

Hoth all depends on timeline

if we don't move the timeline (suggested), It would only be a neutral zone for smugglers and a rebel zone. The whole planet can be a theme park for rebels, assisting in building, scouting and resource collecting. Imperials arent even present.

If we move timeline, we got us a whole lot of destroyed crap that could be fun, with qwuests that can be centerd around cleanup.

Overall, i think Hoth is a bad idea.

Go Geonosis for choice.

Korriban also for good instances and collecting.

An epic battle on Hoth would be pretty awesome through, I would really enjoy seeing the GCW pan out on a larger scale, maybe as a weekly occurrence and whoever wins receives faction perks or just a badge like “was victorious in the battle of Hoth”, or “Veteran of the Battle of Hoth” or “Survived Battle of Hoth”. Could be really cool.

Having a pretty shweet battle really cuts down what we can do with the planet. the rebs and imps will have everyone on the planet fighting, because it is a worthless bland and boring planet with no interest of the imps, who have the resources, and the rebs simply dont have any men to spare for awesome PvE crap. neuts will not have a chance to join in, as that will piss off realists. Realists will also not like if it becomes a weakly event, or if the rebs join in. me being a proud neut, dont like this idear.

Personally I chose Hoth. IF we stay with the timeline it wouldn't be used as a Rebel or Imperial base, youd have ruins to explore. My thinking is it would be more like Dathomir with High level spawns to fight off.

Another planet I'd like to see added in the future is Dagobah. A really high level spawn point, and it could be used as part of a jedi pilgramage sort of thing. (See the darkside cave and the spot where yoda died.)
