How many intend on being good roleplayers and not just the run of the mill "I'm pissed off at the world, don't mess with me I'm a badass" attitude type roleplayers?

I intend for at least one of my characters to be a half crazed bantha worshipper. Does that count?

I kind of just do my thing, and when I run across a serious roleplayer, I like to jump into the mix. I'm seriously considering leaving my second character slot open for the purpose of creating temporary fun characters for roleplay

I'm pretty much in the same category as Jordy. I'm not a 'serious' role players, but when set in the correct circumstances I do enjoy the fantastic banter. The biggest spoiler comes when a player, or group of players, that won't get into the RP idea joins the group.

Probably won't be RP'ing again, just kind of got out of it... If I do see people RPing I'll just try not to interrupt.

I act certifiably insane in real life. I'll just translate that into my game time. I like to goof off a lot, and will probably make my character something similar. I'll respect RPers when I see them, just don't get offended if, when trying to incorporate me, you get a wacko meets groucho meets little kid with a match book and a box of m-80's sort of response.

I will roleplay on the server... probably not all the time but I will. My remplate is strickly roleplay... I wanted to be a stormtrooper dewback trainer in a regiment stationned on tatooine. And somehow the idea appealed to some. I will try to create a stormtrooper guild on the server mainly based on Tatooine, players are starting to show interest in the guild. I think we will have rp events from time to time just for fun.

I enjoy roleplaying and will hold true to all players in the general environment. I don't roleplay when chatting to guild members or friends on private channels. Looking forward to some great roleplaying in this game.

I'll be a serious RPer on Nicta, but I'll leave my alt for just having fun and messing around.

I used to play my character as a fairly normal person who had been caught up in events of the GCW beyond his control. All he really wanted was to live a quiet self sufficient life as a hunter and trapper on his home planet of Tatooine, but he couldn't abandon his friends when they joined the rebellion. I haven't decide if I will recreate my old character or create a new persona.

I like to stay in character for spatial chat message and keep my OOC comments to tells, guildchat and private messages.

A true member of the Dim-U religion or a member of the starship transponder slicers who use the fake Dim-U monastery in Mos Eisley as their front? Either way, it is great to see someone using a lesser known aspect of the Starwars Universe as the inspiration for their character.

i never role played as it was (acting like a certain character type).. in the game but i played my character as myself. someone who doesnt trust the Empire or the Rebellion and is just looking to eek out a living in the midst of the GCW. whether that involves mercenary work or leaning toward one side or the other. i never really cared much for the Empire or Rebellion because i dislike pvp.

so my character was basically me and would generally ignore the GCW as it happened.. i would talk out of character sometimes (about the game mechanics and bugs and real life with my friends) but since my character is a segment of my own personallity it was hardly noticible to some of the RPers i came across while i played. they just thought i was playing a character.

i was gruff sometimes and was a tough guy but then i could turn around and do something stupid or make silly jokes and sometimes just act like a goofball whenever the mood struck so i never really worried about going out of character since i was my character.. you know what i mean? i think it adds some realism and depth to my character for RPers that saw that i didnt always act one way.

so ill just act the way i always do and make the same stupid jokes or heroically save my friends asses and complain the whole time that i had to do it. haha. if thats not a smuggler i dont know what is

Role Play was the thing I enjoyed about Galaxies when I played in 2004. I was on the "Bria" server and found myself the younger sister of a rebel sympathizer on Tattooine Together we put together a family story and used to meet up after our own little adventures and have dinner, talk and laugh!
I know it may sound odd, but it was the little moments that stick in my mind. I had to go everywhere on foot until one night (Tattooine at night was so atmospheric) while waiting for a shuttle, a Imperial faction member starting chatting to me while we stood there. He became a good companion and got me my first swoop a few days latter!
If I can find even a little of that again it would be fantastic.
