 Re: Player vendors within cities
You make a great point Sasori. Perhaps even add to that list some things that NPC cities don't have. Maybe certain bonuses for a duration of time after leaving a player city for example. That would put some life into them.
Edit: also note, if people go to player cities to just to buy stuff (and I totally agree) what happens when you don't even go there to do that. Setting up shops is half to fun for a lot of crafting players. I'm not talking about me personally.

Yes lets have all the cities be more important I mean you can find more quests in Villages than in cities whats up with that? Cities should always be more important.

If in turn things that are only found in NPC Cities can be placed in player cities would turn this whole argument upside down. such as:
In your Player City:
Trainers
Public Crafting Stations
NPC Visits
Patrols (NPC)
Landing your ship in a Player City. you let me place any structure a static city has in my player city (given my city has the correct size ranking) then i'll support people placing vendors in Theed. But I also demand proper city walls and actual road placement!! let mayors truely govern. as we are Mayors. not simply community organizers after all.

 Re: Player vendors within cities
Is that "battle hymn of the new republic" I hear playing in the background as I read Banky's comment?
I concur that player cities need work. Roads, pavement, or at LEAST be able to cut the grass so the flora isn't growing rampant where the streets should be.

 Re: Player vendors within cities
For some reason, this is the clip that played through my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_vncX99 ... re=relatedIt wouldn't be too hard to put some of those npc structures would it? Would add a lot more variety. If we had new structures, pavement/roads, and walls, well things would be fine and dandy.

Definetly I also wanted that too it would make the Politician profession more interesting. Sure though I can mention this to the team.

 Re: Player vendors within cities
I'd like to see something done to keep all cities important in someway. Both player built cities and the default cities. I read in another post someone suggest player apartments. Vendors in the cities is also an interesting idea. But if we do too much of this then player built cities are going to lose their importance. We also have to be careful that we don't create a crazy rush to place vendors and lease appartments in the default cities.
