well first off they are not "new" professions. They are just some fixes to make GCW better. Secondly, i hardly think they are being butchered. as of now... everything is capped at 1 sec per shot... so if you load up on speed tapes everybody shoots the same speed... or swings the same speed. as of now Rifleman is the premier damage dealer over the other 2 ranged... making the other 2 far less playable because whats the point of playing a pistoleer if you can do more damage and shoot just as fast and shoot 3x further then a rifle could.

CM... who said they cant throw single poisons... as of now... all CMs do is spam their 2 AOEs... constantly till they get taken out. never using their single poisons in huge battles. 30 seconds may be much.. maybe 15 seconds... but no way should it be literally spammable as fast as it is... this would entice a more diverse templates as of now to counter the spamming of CMs you need docs in your temp or you stand there waiting for a doc to get to cure you in turn... meanwhile they CM is still spamming it over and over... and back then there was always more then one...

TKM... well what can you say... 2 swings they love to spam... Unarmed Hit 3 and Unarmed Knockdown 2... over and over and over... nothing else. adding just a small timer on kd 2 will maybe let them use lunge.. oh my do you realize they actually have other buttons? LOL sorry little sarcastic.. but yeah.. you will be amazed how many neat and cool stuff the TKM have... for example unarmed head hit gives the target blind... very useful... another gives stun also very useful and allows the player to be more tactful(is that a word) anyway, yeah this would pull off those horseblinders some of the players are playing with.

now, IN RED.. I would like to know how you came to that conclusion? I was a Fencer/Doc... never lost a duel in my years of playing in SWG and was super hard to kill in HUGE battles... especially when i had my guildies behind me. So you think because I am simply trying to balance out a little maybe get some people to realize there is more then 1 or 2 buttons on the UI bar then the KD swing that I didnt know how to PVP? i think you are funny. i love the assumption really. It made my week. Thanks.

I had a few ideas of my own regarding making Droid Engineer more useful that I think are a little more realistic to expect from the kind people who volunteer their time to make this game for us to play for free:

MSE Droids - These were known as "messenger droids" but currently they're only used as suicide bomber droids, and not even effectively at that. What I had in mind was something a little similar to their fictional purpose in the books and movies as messengers.

Since the game never had a feature to mail items to people, why not use messenger droids as an in-game delivery service? You could load an item or items into its storage and send it off to deliver to anybody else in-game. Delivery time would depend on their location, ranging from maybe 5 or 10 minutes for somebody on the same planet, to up to two hours for somebody on the other side of the galaxy. Then the droids would function on charges like the probe droids so the Droid Engineers would constantly have a market.

Binary Load Lifter Droid Here's another droid that never really had a function in-game. Ideas were tossed around about using them to check up on and retrieve resources from harvesters. I especially like the latter idea.

Add a new schematic: Large Droid Storage Compartment. This would only work with the Binary Load Lifter and Advanced Binary Load Lifter chassis. Then the binary load lifter droid could retrieve between 50,000 and 100,000 depending on the experimental quality of the comparment. This would make them extremely useful, particularly to those who tend to mine for resources on more dangerous planets.

I haven't had the chance to go through this entirely, but there are a few things that stand out to me.
First, I LOVE the idea of making all knockdown powers have much longer timers. Either that or make them take a higher HAM cost.
However, I do not like what you have done to the DE. This would completely change the DE's role and make them a crafter-combat hybrid. And your proposed combat additions to the class seem to only entail PVP. There are certainly things that could be added to the DE but combat should not be one of them.

well you have your opinion and i have mine... i find it very useful for a DE to fix turrets. This does give them some options. they get droids that fight for them.. .they wont technically be a "combat" class... their droids will be doing the job.

I mean they are an ENGINEER. Engineers have been on the battlefield for ages since the dawn of many military.

above:
i liked the idea of the load lifter collecting resources but the whole mse droid being a messenger? dont get it as we already have a message system in game.. its the emails we have in game. so it would just make the MSE droid kinda moot.
