in teh NGE they created "the buddy system" which was a means of getting people to bring their friends into the game, once in the newbie got a "buddy token" which they'd then give to their friend (although this just led to people selling them on the market)

the light bending barc was basically a Barc Speeder that glowed and was faster then anything else...in teh NGE it also has a 80% glancing blow rating... but thats all B***S*** for us.

oh and guesswho...your thinking about the general barc...differnt type of barc altogether

Sounds more and more like WoW but were getting offtopic. I also thought with the credit sinks that NPC markets ore stores should be made or NPC Trade settlements , Space Stations and so on. Also it sounds like new ways of making credits other than looting , missions and selling stuff.

There was one station but you sold mined minerals to it, but we could make it so you could buy from it instead.

I knew about selling Mined minerals to certain space stations (RSF ,CorSec ,Etc) but I ment like go in it and buy stuff.

Why not do what scarface did, and implement a "user transaction fee" for depositing/withdrawing credits, like 1% or something, it wouldn't me much individually, but over a wide playerbase would remove millions of credits from the economy.

I agree. The thing is, the gambling never had a good enough payout to make it worth the time. There were other factors as well, but I think mabey we could tweek the gambling devices, mabey turn the casino into the equivalent of cantinas to get some ents in there and it could prove a great new hangout, doubling as a handy credit sink.

would be nice to have better games to gamble with too. or at least some animations for them instead of the onscreen messages, always though casinos were great ideas, but never really done well at all.

Could work with like a window representing the game board on screen and you could play games like Sabaac (Star Wars Equivalent to poker) and Pazaak or its equivalent (Pazaak is equivalent to black jack).

Actually, as initially suggested. I am all for changing the amount of credits awarded for every type of mission. I played a master weaponsmith for nearly two years. All of my non-special items cost under 75k, even T-21, flamethrowers and the like. Most of the more popular weapons were under 35k. I think I actually sold scout blasters, d18s and like for around 3k. DL44s etc, around 4.5k. None of the items were sliced. I would say 95% of my business surrounded the sale of of these weapons. I kept books, and I based my costs, in part, upon the server cost for the resources used in manufacturing the weapons. Some resources cost as low as .1 credit/unit, while rarer resources soared as high as, if I recollect properly, 50 credits/unit. Based purely on the sale of normal gear, I maintained about 20million credits in the bank, which was about 1/5 of my cash and about 1/15th of the value of all my assests.

As initially posted, mission quests were a great way to make cash as well. In fact, as a pistoleer and rifleman at varying points, I was able to haul in anywhere from 100 to 300k in a session of play. For me, being able to earn that much credit, did not make it very valuable. Even without cheating, there was a flood of credits in the system, and the sinks were not designed properly to deal with them. Reducing the amount credits earned per mission, does not do anything but increase the value of a single credit, and make the existing sinks more efficient. Now as to what the mission values should be reduced to, that is a answer someone in development will have to consider. Anywho that is my two creds. :D

Apart from casinos and new ways to make cash we should look at the cannon Sourcebooks for the credit cost of stuff in the star wars universe it could certainly help.
