So I was a player and huge fan of Galaxies pre CU and a buddy of mine stumbled upon this community and told me about it. I'm extremely excited by the idea of playing the pre CU galaxies but I'm really confused on how to do so.

I've installed my original version of Galaxies and gotten ANH up and running through the support pages on this website. Now what do I do? The game is just in testing and I can't even find a mission to do. Is there any server out there that is complete? I've noticed most of the posts were during 2008 and that progress was being made. But its now half way through 2010. How close are the servers to being finished and playable? Will they ever be finished?

There is not much to do at this point, you could visit the pois for kicks, go to bestina kill creatures, or just hang out and see whats next and maybe help this community out if posible.

I don't know what the policy is about the nova testcenter so I just take the chance, you can just get the swgemu launchpad enchancer and visit swgemu.com and join there as well. The official swgemu test center is called nova test center, you can find all the info on there site. There is more action then here at the moment In my opinion.

PS:The Launchpad Enchancer lets you also add or edit new and old server connections so that you can play any of the ftp servers.

Yeah I just got rolling with the Emu Nova test center thing. I read that they just finished there OR stuff which I guess is good. The whole thing seems really close to being done. Is this the case? Or do they still have a ton of work to do until they release a static server?

Once there done with the OR, there are more likely to public the Core and leave some stuff for the private server hosts. The OR was the last major task that needed to be completed, everything else works quite well, with some exceptions of minor bugs.

So I'm playing Emu pretty heavily and I'm really excited/impressed etc. I am wondering though, what is left? I've noticed a lot of key things missing such as player structures (for shops etc) and key items on the bazaar. Why is this? I thought housing would be back after the OR was done, and I thought they just finished OR?

Once the OR is done, it needs to be added to the DB. Also there maybe do a whipe once that happends (unclear) Bazaar, Crafting etc works on SWGEmu (Nova Test Center).

Some crafting Items on this community test server does not work/missing, there is still plenty to do on this community server. Also it is a Test Server, not the finished play server as much as I know. Give it time, I know I cant wait for stuff to get done alot of times .

I'm also brand new to the server. I'm pumped to play again, but I can't find anything to fight. Where are the best areas of known spawning? I searched around the usual noobie spawn points that were in the original game and have yet to find anything to even attempt to kill.

Unfortunatly there is only Bestina, if you trevel to Tatooine Bestina and open up your overhead map (CTRL+M) you can see all the red dots around Bestinal use the mouse scroll to zoom in/out the overhead map. Have fun.

I'm leaning towards the "ton of work" option.....
