I know bringing up Star Trek on a Star Wars board normally is like mixing Bleach and Ammonia, but has anyone seen either the X-Men Origins movie or Star Trekk?

I've seen both lately, and frankly I thought they were both pretty good .

I'd recommend either to anyone who has a need for something to do or loves X-Men or Star Trek in general

The wife and I did go see X-Men Origins: Wolverine and must say it was pretty good. It was certainly better then X-Men 2 and no comparison to that abortion X-Men 3. Now before all the fanbois start flaming, NO it didn't follow the origins story exactly and maybe not even that close but it's a movie damnnit. If you think any movie based upon a book, comic or otherwise, is gonna follow the exact storyline as the author then where have you been?

I had to go see Xmen twice. I so was busy drooling the first time I missed too much of the plot!!

Really though I thought it was pretty good! Liev Schreiber did a great job too... he's so underrated as far as actors go. I really enjoy him. I've heard a rumor that they are doing a magento origins flick as well; if so that would be pretty cool.


Star Trek was way better than all the other Star Trek movies... prolly because it was nothing like them. I still found myself losing interest intermittently though. Would have been a better renter.
