so whats all the hype for?

What everyone is playing on currently is the Test Center that the SWGEmu development team is letting us play on in order to help them test things out. Galaxies Reborn is a server community. We will all be playing together on this server when the emulator is finished and goes live.

So yes... You can play Pre-CU on the SWGEmu Test center even though it's not finished, but the 'hype' is this community itself... it's fantastic. That plus the fact that we will all be playing together once the emulator is complete is very hype-worthy!

aaaaaah ok awsome, im totally physced that ill get to play my beloved SWG again, not the crap they got now, but i will wait for the release, not really interested in a test server. I'll keep checking and can't wait till it gos live.

You should consider running around on the TC a bit for nostalgia's sake... it's quite fun! By the way... welcome aboard!

It's not all that bad. It's almost finished really, so there's quite alot you can do. For example, you can pick up TKM/armor/meds/weapons, from the gungan trader npc in theed (provides free items to players to facilitate testing) buff up, and head out to the tusken fort for some old fashioned skull crunching fun.

I play every now and then and have a blast! you can craft some items, place some harvesters, or you could go hunting or visit POI's, some of them like fort tusken, jinta caves, DWB, and some parts of Dathormir have spawns to have fun with. Or you could become a rebel and farm stormies, they are everywhere!

EDIT: I forgot to add. Playing on the Test server is also a very nice opportunity to try out some templates very quickly. I never had the chance to try out Combat Medic and I'm loving it (and not because they are overpowered, I just like the ranged and area heals). I've tried some other weird templates I probably wouldn't do it on live (or don't have the time)
